Mircea Geoana in New York, to speak with members of the Romanian-American Chamber of Commerce on February 3rd

The Romanian American Chamber of Commerce (RACC) is hosting an event with Mircea Geoana, former president of the Romanian Senate and former candidate for the President of Romania, about the political and business environment in Romania. The event will take place on February 3rd, 13.30-15.00, at Herzfield & Rubin, LLC, 12th Floor, 125 Broad Street, New York, NY 10004.

The event is free, but RSVP (to raccny@aol.com) is mandatory. For security reasons no walk-ins will be allowed.

NOTE: Mircea Geoana is a Romanian Independent Senator and the former President of the Romanian Senate between 2008 and 2011. Former candidate for the President of Romania. Prior to that he was the Chairman of the PSD. He served as the Romanian Ambassador to the United States from 1996-2000. At the time, he was the youngest Ambassador in Romania's diplomatic corps. In 2001 he was elected as the Chairman of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. He was the Foreign Minister of Romania from 2000-2004. He is also the president of the Aspen Institute since 2006.
